Actress Brooke Shields has come forward with allegations against a doctor, claiming they performed an unwanted vaginal tightening procedure on her without her consent. Shields shared the shocking revelation during an interview with Us Weekly promoting her new book “Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed To Get Old”, expressing her outrage and the physical and emotional toll it took on her. “It felt like such an invasion — such a bizarre, like, rape of some kind,” she expressed.

Shields shared that she underwent a planned labia reduction in her 40s to alleviate discomfort. However, she later learned from her Beverly Hills surgeon that he had performed additional procedures beyond what she had explicitly consented to.
According to the article, she claims the Beverly Hills surgeon “proudly explained” how he had done a bit of extra work. “Nothing pointed toward this need to be tighter or smaller or firmer or younger, especially there.”
The 59 year old actress says she felt so ashamed and angry, she didn’t disclose the prodecure to her husband Chris Henchy for a long time, and also decided against suing the surgeon.
Shields has not disclosed the name of the doctor or the specific details surrounding the surgery, but she emphasized the importance of patient consent and communication in medical settings. “If we are to change the way we approach and talk about women’s health, then we need to bring up the uncomfortable but very real issues,” she writes in her upcoming memoir coming out January 14.
