Kodak Black’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, has denied rumors that the rapper was on drugs.
This comes after a video surfaced showing Kodak sitting in the middle of the street eating chicken wings.
Cohen told TMZ that Kodak was in Atlanta filming b-roll for an upcoming music video, though details about the project remain unclear.
The viral clip raised concerns among fans and fellow artists, including Kanye West, who expressed his support for Kodak. In a video message, West referred to Kodak as his “brother” and offered to fly to Atlanta to check on him. “I know y’all think I’m going through something right now… But, I just saw a video of Kodak,” Ye said, adding that he didn’t want to see an “intervention” staged for Kodak, similar to the scrutiny he faces.
Kodak later addressed West’s comments on Instagram Live, expressing appreciation for his support. “I f** with Ye, Kanye a real one,”* he said. “You know what, I’ma do a collab with you, so bro can get some money and sh* still.”*
This isn’t the first time Kodak Black has faced speculation about drug use. In April 2024, he admitted on Instagram Live that he had struggled with addiction in the past but had kicked a Percocet habit.
