In an ongoing effort to combat gas theft, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has conducted multiple raids across Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad, resulting in the disconnection of 30 illegal gas connections and the imposition of fines totaling Rs 1.9 million.
In Lahore, the SNGPL team disconnected six illegal gas connections and imposed fines amounting to Rs 1.26 million. Additionally, two FIRs were lodged against the offenders. In Multan, 13 illegal connections were terminated. The Faisalabad team disconnected three illegal connections and levied fines of Rs 0.04 million. In Bahawalpur, two connections were cut off due to illegal gas use and two more for the use of compressors. The Gujranwala team disconnected two illegal connections, imposing fines of Rs 0.29 million. In Sheikhupura, two connections were terminated with fines totaling Rs 0.36 million, and one FIR was lodged.
