Dr. Jill Stein, the Green Party’s presidential candidate for 2024, has announced Rudolph ‘Butch’ T. Ware III as her running mate for Vice President.
Ware, a historian specializing in West African and Islamic history, currently teaches at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
His selection marks him as the first Black-Muslim to be part of a presidential ticket in the United States.
Stein praised Ware for his personal journey overcoming systemic injustice, his deep historical knowledge, and his commitment to building a sustainable, just, and peaceful world.
