Donald Trump has announced the launch of official “Trump Coins,” marking his latest venture into collectible silver medallions.
The 2024 U.S. presidential candidate took to his social media platform, Truth Social, to share the news, stating, “I have something incredible to share today, as we are introducing the launch of our Official Trump Coins! The ONLY OFFICIAL coin designed by me—and proudly minted here in the U.S.A.”
The Trump coin, priced at $100, is made from 99.9% fine silver, weighs 1 troy ounce, and measures 1.598 inches in diameter. It features Trump’s profile on the obverse and the White House 
the reverse. Minted in Indiana, the coin is presented in a custom felt bag with a certificate of authenticity, making it a collector’s item.
Billed as the only officially licensed silver medallion designed by Trump, the coin has a proof finish with sharp details and a mirror-like surface, aimed at collectors rather than general circulation.
Trump’s announcement follows his recent unveiling of a cryptocurrency business with ties to his family, called World Liberty Financial. During a livestream event, he discussed the potential of cryptocurrency, stressed the need for U.S. leadership in the space, and criticized the Biden-Harris administration.
As Trump prepares for the 2024 election, his ventures, including World Liberty Financial, highlight his efforts to leverage his political platform to promote business interests.
