Lebanon death toll surpasses 700 as Israel’s bombardment continues

At least 92 people were killed and 153 others wounded in Israeli airstrikes during past 24 hours in Lebanon, the health ministry said.

Disregarding international pleas for a ceasefire with Hezbollah, Israel keeps up its bombing assault in Lebanon, which has resulted in over 700 deaths since Monday.

The White House has expressed frustration at rejection of the truce proposal by Israel, saying it had taken “a lot of care and effort” and was “coordinated” with Israel.
