Multiple law enforcement agencies are responding to a deputy-involved shooting in northeast Harris County.
The incident, which began Thursday near Wilson Road and Beltway 8, unfolded as deputies attempted to serve a warrant, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. During the operation, a pursuit took place, and at one point, the suspect exited their vehicle armed. Shots were fired, critically injuring the suspect, who was subsequently taken to a hospital.
Sheriff Gonzalez confirmed that no law enforcement officers were injured. Authorities are advising the public to avoid the area along the eastbound service road between Mesa and Wilson.
