Boos and jeers: Donald Trump faces X-rated heckles at Libertarian Convention

It was possibly the worst public rally experience for former US President Donald Trump at the Libertarian National Convention in Washington.

It was Saturday night when Donald Trump became the first former president to address the Libertarian National Convention. However, a tough audience faced him as he was met with boos and jeers.

Trying to strike a chord with the audience, Trump said, “The fact is we should not be fighting each other.”

“If Joe Biden gets back in, there will be no more liberty for anyone in our country. Combine with us in a partnership – we’re asking that of the libertarians. We must work together,” he continued.

“Combine with us. You have to combine with us.”

He also warned that if Joe Biden wins, liberty would be at risk. But the crowd didn’t buy it. They shouted insults, showing their disapproval.

Trump even tried humour but the attempt fell flat. He joked about his legal troubles, but it didn’t lighten the mood of the crowd.

Despite the negativity, Trump urged people to vote for him if they wanted to win. He claimed that most Libertarians support him, despite the reaction in the room.

Trump promised to appoint Libertarians to important roles and help those he believed were unfairly treated by the Biden administration.

But the booing continued throughout his speech, showing that winning over this crowd was no easy task for the former president
