The duo’s latest music video promotes Ice Spice’s debut album “Y2K!” featuring Central Cee and Gunna
If New York City ever needs to replace the Statue of Liberty, Ice Spice is ready to take the torch.
The 24-year-old celebrates her Big Apple roots in the “Oh Shhh…” video featuring Travis Scott, which premiered on Friday, July 26.
Directed by George Buford, the video begins with Ice Spice displayed as a roped-off exhibit in a museum, captivating elderly onlookers.
She then transforms into the new Statue of Liberty on Ellis Island, adding her own flair with a green dress and a stack of cash as her torch.
Ice Spice and Travis Scott link up at NYC hotspot Sei Less, enjoying a feast from the full menu. Scott, always promoting his brands, pours a Cacti drink on a twerking Ice Spice.
In his verse, he gives a shout-out to Sei Less and sticks with the NYC theme, mentioning his desire to buy the New York Knicks from James Dolan: “To smoke, we brought us some nics/ I told Dolan to sell us the Knicks/ Like the flow, Jalen Brunson won’t trip, man,” he raps over RIOTUSA’s drill production.
The video concludes with chaos as the city appears to burn, and Scott playfully launches grapes into the camera at the fusion restaurant.
Scott and Ice Spice had previously teased their Y2K! collaboration during Scott’s Circus Maximus Tour stop in London, where Spice made a surprise appearance for the live debut of “Oh Shhh…” at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on July 11.
Y2K! hit streaming services on Friday, featuring 10 tracks with additional collaborations from Central Cee and Gunna.
