YouTuber resigned from TMG Studios after Mongeau’s allegations of their past relationship when she was underage.
YouTuber Cody Michael Kolodziejzyk, better known as Cody Ko, has stepped down from day-to-day operations at his podcast production company, TMG Studios, amid allegations made by fellow influencer Tana Mongeau.
Mongeau claimed on her “Cancelled” podcast that she “hooked up” with Ko when she was 17 and he was 25, a statement initially made as part of a joke but later taken seriously. For the past month, Ko, who has six million followers, has been at the centre of controversy, with fans urging him to address the allegations. Despite these calls, Ko has not formally responded.
The news of his departure was first shared with TMG Studios employees via email on Friday morning and later posted behind a paywall for subscribers. TMG Studios, which manages six different podcasts, released a statement confirming Ko’s decision to step down from daily operations due to the ongoing controversy.
The statement expressed gratitude for the team’s patience during this period and clarified that Noel Miller would take over Ko’s management responsibilities. It also mentioned that the recent events were a personal issue for Ko, and he wanted to prevent it from affecting the professional and personal lives of the team.
The statement did not address the allegations directly or provide any insight into Ko’s plans for publicly responding to Mongeau’s claims. Since Mongeau first made the allegation, neither she nor Ko has made any additional public comments on the matter.
