Jason Oppenheim calls out price-gouging landlords amid LA wildfires

‘Selling Sunset’ star condemns price-gouging landlords amid LA wildfires, offering free real estate help for victims.

Jason Oppenheim, a celebrity realtor and star of ‘Selling Sunset’, has publicly denounced price-gouging landlords taking advantage of the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires.

As the fires continue to ravage areas like Pacific Palisades, Malibu, and Eaton Canyon, leaving thousands displaced, some landlords have been raising rental prices far beyond legal limits.

California Governor Gavin Newsom has responded with an executive order to combat fraud and price gouging in such circumstances. Meanwhile, Oppenheim and his agency, the Oppenheim Group, have offered to assist displaced individuals by representing them for free or crediting back any commission earned from transactions.

Luxury realtor Dylan Eckardt, known for working with high-profile clients like Justin Bieber and Rihanna, has also announced he is waiving commission fees for those affected by the fires. Since last Tuesday, the fires have claimed 16 lives.
