The couple, who rose to fame as co-hosts of the iconic Richard and Judy show, have hinted at an exciting new project that could see them branching into the world of fashion and beauty.
According to recent filings with the Intellectual Property Office, the pair has trademarked their names for a variety of products, including fragrances, cosmetics, and potentially a line of underwear.
This marked a bold step for the couple, who originally trademarked “Richard and Judy” in 2000 and renewed it late last year.
As per Daily Mail’s claims, industry insiders speculate that Judy’s infamous wardrobe mishap at the 2000 National Television Awards, where she accidentally revealed her bra, may have inspired their interest in an underwear line.
Moreover, an insider told The Mirror, “Judy’s bra flash was one of their career’s most memorable moments, and it seems they’ve found a way to capitalize on that legacy.”
Additionally, Richard remains a familiar face on This Morning, while Judy has largely stepped away from the spotlight.
As per the outlet’s claims, the pair, married since 1986, recently reflected on their decades-long relationship in their Channel 5 documentary Our Best Bits – In Our Own Words.
Furthermore, they recounted their first meeting at ITV Granada Television in the 1980s and the chemistry that blossomed between them during a cab ride back from Blackpool.
To those unversed, their daughter, Chloe Madeley also opened up about her parents’ enduring marriage, attributing their success to perseverance as she shared in a recent interview with Closer Magazine, “They’ve had their struggles over the years, but they stayed together.
