Clips of the Rude Boy hitmaker performing her tracks Needed Me quickly went viral on social media, sparking a wave of negative reactions.
In regards to this, fans took to X to roast the singer as one user wrote, “Is this really Rihanna? My cat can sing better,” while another penned, “The mic was bleeding,” and a third user questioned, “Is this edited? This sounds horrible.”
According to Daily Mail, the billionaire singer and mother of two, was slammed for her vocal performance with many fans speculating on her long hiatus from music, as one user commented, “Now I see why we haven’t been getting any music,” while another speculated, “She did this so folks will stop asking her for music.”
At the event, Rihanna sported an oversized fur hat, a graphic Tupac shirt, jeans, and $1,400 Bottega Veneta boots.
Despite the criticism, fans noted her appearance highlighted her focus on fashion and her successful cosmetics and lingerie brands, as per the publication.
Meanwhile, the singer shares two sons, RZA and Riot Rose, with her partner and rapper A$AP Rocky.
However, there have been rumors of a new album in the works, with reports suggesting that she has been experimenting with various genres and collaborations.
While fans await official confirmation of new music, Rihanna will next appear as the voice of Smurfette in Paramount Animation’s The Smurfs Movie, set for release on February 14, 2025.
As per the outlet’s claims, the project will include new songs written and recorded by the star for the film’s soundtrack.
