Rockstar has been notably quiet since its announcement of a Fall 2025 release and the release of the first official trailer on December 4, 2023. Fans have been eagerly awaiting updates, but the lack of further information has led to mounting frustration and speculation. These doubts were amplified by Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, who suggested that the game’s release could slip to 2026.
However, Rockstar’s Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, Georgio Jankowski, contradicted this theory in a LinkedIn post on January 3, 2024. In the post, Jankowski stated that ‘GTA 6’ remains on target for release in 2025, while also highlighting job openings at the company. The post included a promotional image for ‘GTA 6’, further reassuring fans about the game’s progress.
The post quickly went viral, with many fans expressing relief that a delay seemed unlikely. However, some remained skeptical, questioning whether the post was a substantial update or just another vague promotional message.
