Sydney Sweeney has officially confirmed her breakup with longtime fiancé Jonathan Davino, while rumors about her and co-star Glen Powell continue to swirl.
In a candid interview with The Times published on May 31, the Euphoria actress revealed she’s single and enjoying her independence after ending the engagement.
When asked if she was still planning her wedding to Davino, Sweeney simply replied, “No.” She then confirmed the split, marking the end of their relationship that began in 2018. Davino had proposed in 2022, but their engagement quietly ended earlier this year.
While Sweeney didn’t address speculation about her possible romance with Anyone But You co-star Glen Powell, she did say she’s thriving in her new single era. “I’m learning a lot about myself, spending more time with my friends. And I’m loving it,” she said.
Sources close to the star suggested that her busy career played a major role in the breakup. With multiple projects in the pipeline, including Euphoria and a biopic about boxer Christy Martin, Sweeney is focused on work. “She’s exactly where she wants to be,” a source told People, adding, “They didn’t split because there’s no love, but because she’s prioritizing her career.”
