Travis Scott, known for his deep ties to Missouri City, released a heartfelt tribute to his hometown with the “Mo City Flexologist” video on Tuesday (Sept. 24).
The video begins with a message: “In Mo City we just go up. That’s how we do,” setting the tone for the visual, which features footage from Scott’s school days, his high school football field, and beloved local spots like Cartwright Food Mart and Carey’s Frozen Delights.
The Honorable C.N.O.T.E.-produced track was initially recorded in 2014, but Scott officially released it as part of the deluxe edition of Days Before Rodeo. The mixtape’s 10th anniversary was marked by its arrival on streaming platforms in August. The video also includes a humorous fake news broadcast, referencing an earthquake caused by chaos at Scott’s recent concert in Italy.
Scott further teased fans by hinting that “Mo City Flexologist” might soon land on digital streaming platforms. He posted to X, “Shot the video in the MO 1 time for all the real ones out the Mo,” and added later, “Mo city flex DSP’s …?”
After debuting at No. 2 behind Sabrina Carpenter’s Short ‘n Sweet, Days Before Rodeo has surged to reclaim the top spot on the Billboard 200. The rise from No. 106 was fueled by vinyl record shipments, earning 156,000 equivalent album units in the U.S., with 149,000 from vinyls. Scott expressed gratitude, writing, “THE REAL ONES TOOK DBR TO THE TOP I MUST HOLD IT DOWN FOR YALL FOREVER SAY LESS.”
