The iconic house of Walter White from ‘Breaking Bad’ is now up for sale, offering fans the chance to own a piece of television history.
Located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the four-bedroom, one-bathroom, 1,910 sq. ft. property is listed for $4 million, a significant leap from its Zillow estimate of $340,300.
The house became famous after being featured as the White family’s home, where Walter’s life unraveled due to his involvement in the drug trade. Since the series wrapped in 2013, the house has become a popular tourist attraction, with fans visiting to take photos.
Joanne Quintana, the current owner who grew up in the home, shared how the house became a filming location. In 2006, ‘Breaking Bad’ producers approached her mother with a request to use the property for the show. What began as a unique opportunity eventually turned into an overwhelming experience as the show’s popularity surged.
With fans continuously flocking to the house, Quintana and her family began installing security measures, including fences and motion-sensor cameras.
Despite initially enjoying the attention, Quintana revealed that the constant influx of visitors made it difficult to continue living in the home. After nearly 52 years of ownership, the family has decided to sell the property and move on, leaving behind their cherished memories.
