In Grand Canyon National Park, a flash flood caused by monsoon rain storms led to a tragic incident where Chenoa Nickerson, a 33-year-old from Gilbert, Arizona, was swept away and later found deceased near Havasupai Falls.
The floods also necessitated the rescue of over 100 individuals, including hikers and members of the Havasupai Tribe, with significant assistance from the Arizona National Guard.
