Harris County Criminal Court Judge Frank Aguilar was killed in a car crash on Houston’s South Side today, according to sources.
Media reports that Aguilar was involved in the crash near Holly Hall around 4:30 p.m. while returning home from a Texans game.
Police confirmed a collision at the scene where a vehicle struck a pole, but the victim has not yet been officially identified. Authorities also stated that a passenger in the car was injured in the crash.
Judge Aguilar presided over the 228th Criminal District Court.
