Mayde Creek High School assistant principal charged for allegedly tackling a 14-year-old student

A Katy ISD high school assistant principal is facing charges after allegedly assaulting a 14-year-old student earlier this month.

Adrian Lee Berg, the assistant principal at Mayde Creek High School, has been charged with injury to a child following the incident that occurred on October 3.

According to records, around 7:15 a.m., Berg was caught on video tackling the student, forcefully pushing her into a wall after she was involved in a verbal altercation with another student.

Berg is also accused of placing his arm around the student’s neck and slamming her to the ground.

The student was taken to the hospital with injuries, though her current condition is unknown.

Berg appeared in court on Thursday, where his bond was set at $15,000.
