Huawei is set to launch its new Ascend 910C AI chip, aiming to challenge Nvidia’s dominance in the Chinese market.
Despite facing U.S. sanctions, Huawei has developed the 910C, which it claims is comparable to Nvidia’s H100 chip.
Major Chinese tech firms, including ByteDance and Baidu, are currently testing the 910C, with potential orders reaching up to 70,000 units, estimated at a value of $2 billion.
Huawei plans to start shipping the 910C as early as October, marking a significant move in the AI hardware sector and potentially shifting market dynamics in China.
