Flight 1006, which was traveling from Colorado Springs to Dallas Fort Worth, diverted to Denver after the crew reported engine vibrations. The Boeing 737-800 landed safely. but caught fire while taxiing to the gate. According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the fire broke out in one of the plane’s engines.
Passengers on board shared photos and videos of the plane, showing them standing on the wing as smoke billowed from the aircraft. The FAA confirmed that all 172 passengers and six crew members safely exited the plane using emergency slides. No injuries were reported.
