Harvard biographer claims Elon Musk’s mental illness could endanger US

I legitimately believe Elon Musk may be going mad, says Seth Abramson, urging US government to act swiftly.

Seth Abramson, the biographer of billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, has raised serious concerns about Musk’s mental health, substance use, and the immense pressure he faces, suggesting that his behavior could pose a potential threat to the United States.

In a series of social media posts, Abramson, a former attorney and professor, warned that Musk’s private struggles may be increasingly manifesting in public behavior that could have dangerous consequences for both Musk and the country.

“I legitimately believe Elon Musk may be going mad,” Abramson stated in a tweet, referencing Musk’s admissions of mental illness, heavy drug use, and severe stress.

“Given that he’s admitted to all of mental illness, heavy drug use, and crippling stress, it is now reasonable to fear he is deeply unwell,” Abramson added.

Abramson expressed concern over Musk’s increasing involvement in crucial industries and his growing influence, suggesting that his behavior could pose a threat to the United States.

“The combination of his unstable behavior and his escalating incitements to violence puts us all in danger,” he warned.

Abramson went further, urging the US government to take swift action, such as severing contracts with Musk and pursuing legal action against his controversial DOGE initiative.

He emphasized that inaction could have severe consequences. “If no action is taken—and I suspect it won’t be—whatever harm this man inflicts on America as President in his growing instability will not only be his burden but also the responsibility of those who ignored clear, informed warnings like this one,” Abramson said.

The comments quickly sparked debate across social media, with some supporting Abramson’s viewpoint, while others criticized Musk for his growing focus on global issues instead of personal matters.

Some users even suggested Musk should retreat from public life entirely. “If I were a billionaire, I’d buy a private island, grow vegetables, and enjoy beach walks. Why can’t he do that?” one commenter said.

The controversy surrounding Musk comes at a time when he continues to gain attention for his involvement in British politics, most recently by launching a poll on X asking whether “America should liberate the British from their oppressive government.”

His growing influence in political and global matters, coupled with the allegations of personal instability, has led to heated discussions about Musk’s role on the world stage.

Abramson, known for his work as a political commentator, attorney, and author, has gained prominence for his insights into legal and political affairs.

He has authored works on President-elect Donald Trump’s foreign policy and scandals and has contributed to major outlets such as The Washington Post and The Guardian.
