Nicole Kidman reveals intensity of filming erotic scenes in Babygirl: “It was almost like a burnout”

Nicole Kidman shared that filming Babygirl was so intense at times that she needed to pause production.

Nicole Kidman revealed that filming the erotic drama ‘Babygirl’ became so intense that she had to take a break during production.

The 57-year-old actress stars in the upcoming film alongside The Iron Claw actor Harris Dickinson, 28.

In the movie, Nicole plays a successful, married company executive who becomes romantically involved with a young intern.

As reported by The Sun, in a candid interview, Nicole shared that acting out the scenes with Harris and Antonio Banderas, who plays her husband Jacob, sometimes became overwhelming.

Nicole began by saying: “There was an enormous amount of sharing and trust and then frustration. It’s like, ‘Don’t touch me.'”

“There were times when we were shooting where I was like, ‘I don’t want to orgasm any more.'”

“Don’t come near me. I hate doing this. I don’t care if I am never touched again in my life! I’m over it.”

“It was so present all the time for me that it was almost like a burnout.”

*Babygirl* will be released in US cinemas on Christmas Day.

The plot follows CEO Romy (Kidman), who risks her career and everything she has built when she embarks on a passionate affair with her intern Samuel (Dickinson).

Nicole said she was drawn to the film because it allowed her to explore a new territory in her acting career.

She explained: “I’ve always been on a quest as an actor, I’m always going, where have I not been? And what can I explore as a human being? And this was an area I’d never been.”

The 57-year-old actress has already earned praise for her role, receiving Best Actress honors at the Venice Film Festival following the film’s premiere.

The trailer shows the development of Romy and Samuel’s relationship, from their initial meeting to their intimate encounters, as Nicole’s character experiences a sense of liberation through their affair.

The trailer opens with Romy noticing Samuel on the street after he manages to calm a dog that runs toward her.

It also offers glimpses into Romy’s life as she juggles her career and family, from caring for her children to her relationship with her devoted husband Jacob (Antonio Banderas).
